Friday consisted of Almondjay staples:
9-grain cereal (with sprinkles of course)
and a cottage cheese salad combo:
And while these meals might have been part of the routine, Friday evening we hosted some people who we do not see on a regular basis. There were a few people from our alma mater, Brandeis University, who happened to be in town and we of course brought everyone together to chat about the old times.
We brought up old roommates, the campus and past classes and shared where we have all ended up in life. When I finally crawled into bed I couldn’t stop myself from continuing down memory lane and thinking about where I was a few years ago and where I am now.
4 years ago around this time I had just started dating Dave and we decided to stay together while I studied abroad in Australia.
After 6 months of living in Aussie land, traveling to New Zealand and exploring a bit of Thailand, I returned to some of my favorite people, my best friends (picture not all inclusive), to enjoy our last year all together.
Following graduation I had a very difficult time leaving my friends and the comfort of what I had known for four years. But after transitioning by living with my beautiful friends in Boston for a year and traveling back and forth across the country to see Dave every other month I took my life in my hands and moved out to San Francisco to be with him and find a rewarding job.
I have lived here for almost 2 years now and as much as I adore the life I have created and the person I have turned into it is hard not to get lost in my memories sometimes.
So here is to the past, present and future – sending all my love to all of my friends and family near and far, old and new.
Happy Saturday!
Love you so much!!!
