Last Day of 24

Yesterday was my last day on this Earth as a 24 year old woman. It was a rather typical day, took a shower, went to work, answered emails, walked around the office, made some phone calls…oh wait…did you catch that….yup I WALKED AROUND MY OFFICE!

I am still on crutches but my doctor gave me the okay to put full weight on my left leg and simply use the crutches for balance. While in the safety of my small apartment I have been walking around, trying to get used to that simple motion again. It feels great to walk after 2 months of crutches and it seems appropriate that I am able to walk again as I turn to the next chapter in my life as a 25 year old.

Last night my mom and I grabbed a quick bite to eat before relaxing for the rest of the evening.

I was greeted at home with some early presents from my friends and family

Beautiful earrings (very hard to see sorry for the grainy photo)

and boxes upon boxes of goodies!

As I start my first day as a 25 year old I want to focus on the following this year:

– Taking very good care of my body as I get back into athletic shape

– Reaching out to loved ones more often and on a regular basis

– Being kind to strangers because you never know what is going on in their life or what kind of day they are having

– Trying new things that are outside of my comfort zone

No crazy or extravagant goals but simply perspectives on life that I would like to incorporate into my day to day. 24 has been quite a year and I want to thank all of the wonderful people in my life who have been there along the way to laugh and cry. I look forward to what’s on the horizon and I can’t wait to experience it all with you by my side.

Happy Birthday…to me.

    Happy Birthday Jordan!

One question though. What is it that your mom is eating. It looks like a giant lettuce leaf in a brown paper bag.

    Thanks
    Mike
