I was all prepared to take my first spin class since the accident on Sunday morning, but somehow I found myself stuck to the couch around the start time and had to drag myself to the gym to do my own workout.
I did bike, just not with the intensity that I would have liked. After half an hour on the stationary bike I did some of the exercises I have learned from my PT sessions. I did a clam circuit, some planks and some standing on one foot routines. I ended my workout with some more sitting, this time I did a wall sit.
Tips for a good wall sit:
– Make sure your shoulders are relaxed and down
– Your back should be flat against the wall
– Your thighs should be parallel to the ground (90 degrees) but to decrease intensity and pressure on your knees you can make a less severe angle with your knees (110 degrees) *Earlier I stated a 45 degree angle, which clearly makes no sense in the real world but for Monday morning it made perfect sense haha
By the end of the day I was ready for a good meal for dinner so I baked up some tofu with teriyaki sauce and sautéed some veggies
Somehow it is Monday again so I hope everyone has a great week! Only 5 more days till Friday!
