Even I have to admit that I have been dealing with this ridiculous accident very very well. And even though I am in high spirits most of the time, there are those moments when I feel reality hit me and I break down. I wont go into the details, but on top of a big transition time in my life with lots of big girls decisions that need to be made, breaking a hip did not need to be added to the list of things to juggle.
In order to make myself feel better I did the following:
I took a shower (well Dave poured water on me in the bathtub, so as close to a shower as you can get) – regardless, I got CLEAN.
Dave changed the dressing on my surgery site – we made a bit of garbage.
And I ate some homemade chicken soup!
Before I knew it I felt refreshed and cleansed and ready to take on the next thing waiting for me.
What do you do to feel better when you’re at home?
Its usually a cup of tea. I know that sounds lame, but there’s something about it that hits the spot every time. Must be a Brit thing!
Haha no. I totally agree. Tea always comforts me π
Sounds like you’re doing great (considering!). I watch lots of quality tv.. You know, Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, etc. π π
