They happen every week but for some reason yesterday’s Monday was the hardest one I have had in a while. I had a big weekend of running around and could have really used another day just to sit and relax. When it was time to drive to work I was in a daze and even once I turned on my computer I couldn’t believe that I was actually about to dive into my work to do list.
Eventually I dragged myself from my desk and decided that instead of standing outside my building making phone calls on my break (safely out of harms way while on my crutches), I would actually go for a walk. I didn’t want to go too far so I just crutched/walked three blocks to a little cafe and treated myself to a delicious Honey Basil Lemonade.
I sat outside in the sun and enjoyed the rays, trying to soak in refreshing energy to get through the rest of the day.

Eventually I hobbled back to the office to finish out the day and made it to the pool to get in some laps before dinner.
Somehow I made it through the day and even found the motivation to hit the pool for a few laps. Now it is Tuesday morning and I can hardly believe it. Time to keep on chugging till the weekend!
