Patient, as defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary:
– steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity
– not hasty or impetuous
Being patient is the name of the game these days. Like yesterday morning when I was making breakfast and lunch at the same time before work and I had to relax and be patient with myself as I made a mess, cleaned up and got myself off to the bus.
And when I went to the post office and had to wait in a very, very long line to mail a package – patience was practiced.
Then there is always my most recent injury which has taken patience and perseverance as I wait for the pain to subside so I can run again.
Today is my 100th post and that has taken patience, writing every day despite those days when I was too tired to post or felt I had nothing to share.
And simply growing up takes patience. Waiting for the future to unfold…
And then there is the calm waiting for the absolutely great things, like dinner tonight to celebrate Dave’s 25th birthday and being patient until we can continue the celebration this weekend!
It’s not always easy to be patient but remaining steadfast and calm usually leads to things that will leave a smile on your face 🙂
How do you practice patience daily?
Happy 100th!
